What types of anesthesia do you use?
We use local anesthesia to ensure you experience no pain during the procedures. You will stay fully conscious and won’t require a companion afterward. Upon request, other types of anesthesia can also be administered under the careful supervision of our anesthesiologist.

I have dental phobia. Will I be in good hands?
We can guarantee the doctors you will be visiting will make you smile before and after treatment. TourDent takes this matter in very high regard when it comes to the comfort of our patients.
How long do common procedures like implants, veneers, or crowns take?
Treatment times vary: crowns, bridges, and veneers typically take 1-2 weeks, while implants may require multiple visits, with overall treatment time ranging from 6 to 20 days. (There won’t be a treatment on every day as there will be a healing period your body will need)
What if I need a follow-up appointment after my treatment?
Follow-up details will be arranged as necessary to ensure your recovery and satisfaction.
How long does the recovery process take?
After receiving implants, you may experience some discomfort for up to a week, but no specific post-treatment care is typically required. Swelling normally goes down after the 4th day.
What is the success rate of implants?
Properly placed dental implants that are properly maintained after typically have a near 100% success rate. If bone augmentation was required in the area of the implant placement, as long as the post-treatment guide we provide is followed, the percentage stays the same.

How much can I save with dental tourism?

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept bank transfers and offer various payment options, including installment plans.
Are there any hidden fees or extra costs?
It is against the TourDent policy of work to have any costs uncommunicated with our patients. From the moment the treatment is confirmed and the contract is checked and signed, there will be no changed to the treatment or costs unless the doctor deems as necessary. ( Example: If the amount of material for bone augmentation, as charged in the treatment plan, is not enough, the doctor can relay this to the patient and have a verbal agreement and later an annex signed for more material to be used and in regard to the additional cost.)
Does my dental insurance cover treatments abroad?

Do you offer financing options for dental treatments?

Are consultations free, or is there a fee?
Consultations, treatment plans, and phone calls are all free of charge.
Does health insurance pay for veneers?
Sadly no. But with our prices and payment options everyone can afford veneers.
Can I get a refund on the treatment if there is still time before my flight?
It heavily depends on what has been booked until now and what can be cancelled.
Travel & Accommodation
Do you help with travel arrangements like flights and accommodation?
Yes, we provide full assistance with organizing your trip, including flights, accommodation, and local attractions to ensure a seamless experience.
How long do I need to stay for my dental treatment?
The duration of your stay depends on the type of treatment you require. It typically ranges between 5 and 21 days all combined. (There won’t be treatment on every single day as there will be a mandatory healing period in between treatments)
Will I need multiple visits for my dental procedure?
This depends on the complexity of the procedures. Minor treatments usually require a stay of approximately one week, while more complex procedures may necessitate multiple visits with a healing period of 3-6 months.
Can I bring a companion with me for support?
Absolutely. We will arrange flights, accommodation, and any other necessary services for your companion as well. If your companion would also like to receive treatment, we will try our best to arrange the patient journey of both patients to happen simultaneously.
Can I choose my own accommodation (including campsites, etc.), or do I need to book through your service?
TourDent collaborates with a selected group of trusted hotels. You will be accommodated in a hotel of your choice, located close to the dental clinic and aligned with your preferences.
Will there be transportation to and from the dental clinic?
Yes. Throughout your stay in Varna, you will have access to a personal driver who speaks your native language and will assist you with transportation and any other needs. Having a rental car provided is also an option.
Do I need a visa to travel to Bulgaria?
If you are a citizen of an EU country, you only need your national ID card. Visitors from outside the EU will require a valid passport.
Can I extend my stay in the country if I want to explore after my procedure?
Certainly. Your personal assistant will be happy to assist you with extending your stay and planning any additional activities.
What are the tourist attractions in Varna, Bulgaria?
Upon arrival you will receive a brochure with the most popular and interesting attractions, restaurants and places in Varna. Your personal consultant will be happy to help you with reservations and any information needed.
What are the best times of the year to travel for dental treatment? Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Summer is ideal for those who enjoy the beach and sea, but Bulgaria is a beautiful destination throughout the entire year. Appointments can be rescheduled or canceled — please contact us in advance to make changes.
How do I prepare for my dental treatment trip?
Approach it as you would a vacation — pack appropriately and be ready for both relaxation and dental care.
Warranty & Aftercare
What should I do to prepare for recovery after treatment?
No special preparations are required. In some cases, antibiotics may be prescribed as a precaution as well as pain-relief medicine. The best way to prepare is to provide us with an accurate medical history so we can prepare everything for you.
Will I be able to travel immediately after my dental procedure?
Yes, in most cases you will be able to travel immediately following your treatment.
Can I get aftercare support once I’m back in my home country?
Yes, aftercare support is available remotely.
How can I stay in touch with the dental clinic after my treatment?
You will receive a dedicated hotline number through which you can receive advice, consultation, and support even from abroad.
What can I do after treatment in terms of eating and activity?
You will be provided with a post-treatment guide on what you can do to still enjoy your vacation while recovering from treatment.
What is the warranty on my constructs?
Any construct made from Zirconia will have a warranty of at least 5 years.
Everything about warranty will be specifically mentioned in the contract you are to sign before we start your treatment.
In some rare cases warranty will not be provided depending on the health status of the patient.
How do I take care of my new teeth?
You will be instructed by the doctor or our support line on how to handle your new teeth.
Do I have to come for a check-up to keep the warranty of my constructs every 6 months?
While we would be happy to have you see us again every 6 months for a check-up to keep the warranty of your constructs, we allow local check-ups as well.

What do I do if my temporary bridge/denture broke?
Please let us know as soon as any cracks or breakage occurs so we can assist you to the best of our capabilities.
I have an implant from another practice, can you still work on my implants?
We can work with any implants still on the market but might need to charge additionally for the necessary tools required to work on your specific brand.
